The Art of Japanese Carpentry Drawing, Volume IV, has just been significantly revised and expanded. Over 100 additional pages of material detailing a roof carpentry application for the sawhorse -yes, “the Sawhorse in the roof” – has been added to this volume, making for a total of 250 pages.
The askew common rafter is a layout challenge, and the current focus of the Japanese Carpentry Exam, level 2. Nowhere on the planet will you find this problem addressed in more detail and thoroughness than in the expanded TAJCD Volume IV.
